Question On Click Bank Promoting

So im going to try my hand at a click bank product and promote it in a blog of mine. I read here where some promote the CB product via articles, landing pages, domains built just for the cb product etc.

Is it ok to promote the CB product with articles and such BUT make my main page for buying the CB product the actual blog post where I talk about it?

Do I really have to go out and use a domain and build a landing page to promote it instead of them 1. coming to my blog post and maybe seeing other things on my bog and 2. the link + video for this CB product is on the blog page so they can order from there.

What do you suggest is best?

    Absolutely.

Neither is best. Some people do better with one, some with the other. Do what you want to do and see how it works for you.

Pretty much everyones promoting ClickBanks products with article marketing, and it's totally up to you to choose you landing page. About the domain its better to have domain at the beginning otherwise after building tons of backlinks and PR and start all over again with the new domain.

You can get a blog post to rank in the serps fine... So there is no reason not to go for it - just make sure that the blog post has all the elements you would put in a landing page.

usually you would want to avoid other links around this i.e Adsense or banner etc... so that the focus is for the user to click your CB link/banner

I suggest none of the above.

Sorry for destroying the notion; its just that I don't believe in these methods. I actually find them counter-productive.

If I were you I would concentrate my efforts on building a list!

This way you can promote 7 different types of products within the same niche!

Would you like to be the casual DVD seller running from shop-to-shop chasing customers for the one DVD selection? Or would you rather be the owner of Blockbusters?

To become a successful affiliate on Clickbank you need to have a list.

The big boys do not achieve those sale screen shots with a blog, article marketing or landing pages; but with a LIST!

    Steps:
    1. Squeeze Page
    2. Auto-responder
    3. List
    4. nuture relationship
    5. offer Clickbank product = $$SALES$$
Sounds like a tedious procedure but why are the guru's doing it? ahhhaaaaaaaaaa........

I hear ya with the list and will use that as well. But the more I feel I promote the link to the CB product (followed by articels, videos etc) if no sales come from it at least I got indexed, for future info on it and slowly can build it up. Im not looking at 20 sales the first day but with slow indexing and such 1 a day I can see

Hey I hear you too. I didn't say you won't make any sales; I'm just saying that if you want those big paydays then you need to be building a list.

Absolutely, building a list is the #1 thing to do to get those big paydays. BUT, when you're starting out, building a list is NOT the best thing to do. There is a heck of a lot of ways to make money and do things in internet marketing and people can get really confused.

If DNChamp has picked a path, then they should follow it for now. Don't spread yourself too thin AT ALL. That was my problem, trying to do too many things at once, never committing to just getting the stuff out there.

It is not necessary to buy a domain that has the Clickbank product name. You can buy any domain name related to the niche but which has got searches of over 500 (exact) using Google Adwords Keywords Tool. Then, build the content on the site towards ranking for the clickbank product name keywords while putting your affiliate links and banners on the webpage.

All other affiliate resources can be used, but make sure you re-edit the affiliate articles so as to ensure uniqueness, because so many paople will be using the article for the same product promotion.

building list is good, but I do think that if you start like I did, you'll need sites that generating steady income per month to pay the bills

second, if you're trying to get traffic from SEO, it'll take quite a while before you see the result, so you'll want to convert as much visitors as you can into buyer (again, to fund the site and your marketing attempt)

Otherwise, if you ready to fund your site while you generating traffic, having people sign up, and nuture relationship, go ahead and build a squeeze-page affiliate site
