Finding Your Ideal Target Market..

I was working on some notes for a client this afternoon and thought I'd share with you...

Ideal Target Market Identification

The person or organization most likely to buy from you
initially, repeatedly and at the highest profit margin.

By profiling our target customer and identifying three specific areas we can identify where we should focus our time and attention.

Interest: Which topics display the highest levels of energy, interest and enthusiasm? What's the main theme? What are people talking about? What are the biggest problems?

Experience: What do these people have in common? What is your experience in this area? Can you present a credible brand and personality? Do you have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to meet the demands and needs of the market?

Location: Where does your target audience hang out? Are they accessible? Where will you find the largest groups? Who are the people of influence?

The more those three factors overlap the more likely you will find your ideal target market.

The more you focus your marketing and promotion efforts on your primary target market, the more likely it is that you will get a higher return on your investment.

I hope you find it useful,

John

    Thanks John

I don't think I've seen that model before - very useful.

      Wow...

I wrote a whole report about this a while back. I actually give it away free in exchange for an email addy at:
      Marketing Stategies To Increase Profit

Several times on the old form I have given it away free without even exposing your email addy and did it as a direct download.

      Kinda like this:

John, this is a great outline. Now, whip up a detailed report on each aspect
and you've got yourself a surefire seller to a whole bunch of folks.

And I don't need to do no market research to know who they are.

I see the orderlies are allowing you to use crayons again. Maybe if you really behave yourself, they'll even let you use markers again - supervised of course.

Seriously, glad to see someone using the new IMG function for educational purposes.

      Peter,

That's probably because I only created the image yesterday.

    Hey John,

Thanks for the diagram....as they say a picture paints a thousand words...

Kind of reminds me of some of the sales tactics we employed when I was selling. Actually there's a lot that can be used out of direct selling manuals that applies to IM.

Why don't you add more substance to what you've already done and produce a report. I guess there are many IM'ers who know jack squat about the "selling profession".

I think I need to dig out some of my old selling skills manuals......food for thought...

    Regards

    Greg
