iContact, Infusionsoft...NOT Aweber

Please give me your experiences here...I would highly appreciate it.

Aweber - currently using this however it is now useless to me as I need to filter on more than 4 fields at once when creating segments....Aweber is limited to filtering only 4 fields at once, but has high delivery rates (this 4 field limit is ridiculous Im not sure why they would ever limit it to this amount!).

Infusionsoft - apparently has the data slicing and dicing flexibility meaning one can create segments based on many many fields, but are their delivery rates as good as Aweber?

iContact - claims to have 99% delivery rate. Great. However do they offer the involved data slicing and dicing as Infusionsoft does...? ie. be able to create segments based on say 20 fields as opposed to Aweber's limit of 4.

iContact does not have that level of segmentation from their user interface - but has that capability and much more from their API.

You should take deliver ability claims with a grain of salt from any email marketing vendor, but in general iContact, ConstantContact, BrontoMail (the ones I have direct knowledge of) are all in line with aWeber's deliver ability rates.

All three are fairly strong, with iContact and InfusionSoft just shading AWeber on the functionality front... well, at least iContact on the API side...

I can't really give a definitive answer, only that each one has it's own uses and I would strongly recommend having an account with all 3 of them so that you can pick and choose which one to use as the niche/tactic(s) require..

Infusionsoft allows the fine list segmentation within their
    interface AND via their API.

You can slice and dice your list based upon information
held in the customer's contact record and you can 'tag'
and segment them by multiple criteria.

That way, you're more likely to get the right message,
to the right person, at the right time.

With the API, you can also segment your list dynamically
based upon the links they've clicked and the web pages
    they've viewed (or not viewed).

I have not had any issues with the deliverability of
Infusionsoft and I've been using them since April 2009.

AWeber's deliverability is fine, but the database of prospects
and customers is not easily searched or segmented.

People can be on multiple lists but you can only search
one list at a time in AWeber.

I can't comment on iContact because I've not had the
    need to test them out.

I just like the idea of having everything under one roof
and then making the best use of my prospect and customer
    data in my follow-up.

    Dedicated to your success,

    Shaun

  • Check out Bronto. I had never heard of them, but had a webinar overview with them yesterday. OMG at what they do. ABCD split testing, segmenting, conversion tracking. They have a great dashboard. I was impressed. They also publically document their delivery stats.

They have a public presentation every Thurs at 3pm central, I believe.
