Death of the $497 "Big Box" Course?
It seems that a lot of the old school marketing strategies are being blown out of the water in favor of shorter, quick money grab techniques.
The traditional internet marketing strategy was something like this:
- offer a free report to get subscribers
- offer a $39 mini-course to the subscribers
- offer a $497 "advanced" course to the mini-course buyers
- offer a $1997 coaching program to the advanced buyers
Today however, I see something more along the lines of:
- the $39 mini-course is now a free PDF and Camtasia video
- the $497 advanced course is now a $77 digital only download, stuffed with repackaged affiliate "bonus" products
- the only back end seems to be endless affiliate spams
I'm genuinely interested to hear how people are thinking (and re-thinking) their strategies for today's market.
