Ever Seen This? If So, Can You Tell Me Where?

I am going to have a huge one day sale on 11-11 to celebrate 11:11 (and my company name eleven eleven) and I want to put a countdown timer on the sales page.

I want to make sure that everyone knows that this really is only for one day, and I know I have people on my list from all over the globe, and varying timezones....

I'd like it to float along the screen as they scroll down the page.

Counting the hours, minutes and seconds down to 11/12 when the sale ends.

Is there anywhere I can buy this script?????

or do I need to hire someone to write it for me.

I'm a lot of things, but a programmer is not one of them. :rolleyes:

I've seen this sort of thing before, so I figure someone here is going to know where I need to go.

I'm no help but I saw one of these the other day when I was googling about looking for php and javascripts.

Someone will no doubt come along and help you soon, but if I can find it again meanwhile, I'll let you know.

Hi John,

You can get a countdown timer script either here:
Time Zone Countdown Timer - JavaScript

Or here:
Andrew Urquhart's Miscellany : Scripts : DHTML Easy Countdown

Put it into an HTML page and then use this script to float it on the side of your webpage:
Dynamic Drive DHTML Scripts- Floating images II (up down)

They're all free by the way - just copy the script right from those pages.

EGADS!

Here I launched my 1 day only sale... and shoot a message out to my list... get tons of traffic.... and guess what?

The countdown timer script (or dhtml) did not work in IE.

Big Ooops....

Sure, it looked good on firefox, and had several people check it. Even worked in Opera...

Started getting tons of emails.... Too bad most people use IE

So I am running it without the timer.
