Trying to use Hubpages...honest opinions please

I have about 40 books on Amazon. I'm trying to promote them as much as I can through article marketing.

I am writing unique articles on BOTH ezine and hubpages. My goal is to write at least 3-5 articles for each book.

Please take a look at my article. I've only put 2 out so far.

Any input? Does this seem to be an effective way to market my books? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Try adding some of the other modules HubPages offers, like Polls or Videos, or even better RSS Feeds with updating content.

I thought the the article was excellent and YES you can pull in traffic doing that. However, I would be concentrating on forums related to child development. Banner ads are cheap!!

    Good luck!

Good article, I felt it was a little brief. I really didn't feel like THIS was the book that would help my child (if I had a child). I want to know as a reader JUST how this book works and how it is going to help me. Plus make it way more obvious on how to get to the book on Amazon.

I also agree with the above, spend some time in child development forums.

I don't work with free traffic anymore, but I managed to make some nice money from article marketing in the past. What I've learned is that if you simply write ads for random keywords you will never make consistent money, even if you write 1K articles a day.

What you need to do is take your articles to the first page of Google. So make a lot of keyword research (Keyword Elite 2.0 and Market Samurai are very good) and generate tons of backlinks (create link wheels with Blogspot, article directories, hub pages, squidoo lenses, etc... always point just to one direction).

The really good traffic somes from search engines, so if you create ads expcting to get traffic from article directories you're gonna lose your time.

    Thanks everyone.

Skymarketer, I tried that but Hubpages said that my hub was too 'promotional'.

williamrs...good advice. I used the keywords 'improve reading comprehension' in the title and in the body a few times.
