Magic Article Sumbitter and Hostgator

I blew an entire day trying to get Magic Article Rewriter and specifically the Submitter working with my Hostgator hosted eMail accounts - apparently the Submitter part is not compatible with eMail accounts that are not IMAP - whatever that means.

So before you blow an entire day trying to get the Submitter to read eMails that are waiting for a link to be clicked to activate your 900+ new accounts with article warehouses you'll have to become an eMail expert and find some hosting site that supports IMAP.

The first thing MAR tells you is to not use gMail hosted accounts since many article warehouses won't allow them due to spammers. I just don't understand how anyone ever uses MAR since it has this huge problem that you, the end user, are to solve for the program.

Apparently IMAP has something to do with folders in the Hostgator system and setting permissions. That's all I know and the support team for Magic Article Rewriter is of no help.

Then you must find an IMAP port number - good luck with that.

What a waste of time....

Hi!

Did you enabled IMAP on your email? Also make sure you configured properly IMAP Server and IMAP Port at profile creation screen, you can test it buy clicking Test Connection button.

Here are also some things which have influence on quantity of activated accounts:

1. incorrect email address
2. Space symbol after email address
3. Disabled IMAP in gmail
4. All accounts should be activated within one day and activation links are valid one day only
5. There is set forwarding in gmail account - it should be disabled.

Honestly, how do folks here brag about MAR and not bring up this huge issue of IMAP eMail accounts?
