It's gonna be a busy one...

Hey Guys,

I was reading a report yesterday (by Capgemini) which said that in the UK at least, July of this year saw the highest volume of online sales in 3 years and the year-on-year increase (18%) was also the highest since 2007.

I'm sure we're all aware that people flood online to buy stuff when they don't have much spare cash sloshing around simply because they're looking for one thing - the best bang for their buck.

I think the period from now to Christmas is going to be mad busy this year and now's the time to be getting your ducks in line.

Don't think (too much).

Act.

Now.

Cheers,

Neil

  • Do you have a link to the report, Neil?
  • Actually I don't Jay. I read about it on Ceefax but couldn't find it on the BBC website.

It was by Capgemini and IMRG. Here's their site:

    Welcome to IMRG

    Cheers,

    Neil

    • Yup - already thinking about buying and selling again - From my experience in my last business which was selling electrical appliances - about 70% of the annual turnover is made just after the summer holidays till Christmas -
  • Thanks Neil...

Great share... Also, I agree with this kind of thinking:

These kind of simple things are stopping people from making cash, fast.

Without revealing one of my niches too much... I'm loving this stat from the report:

    Travel

    % Change Year on Year (Jul 09 – Jul 10) :

    18%

% Change Month on Month (Jun 10 – Jul 10)

    32%

    Peace

    Jay
  • Does make alot of sense shame i cannot find the report you mentioned,

With the recession and everything recent alot of people have turned to the internet to find good deals instead of high street shopping.

Think its time to update my amazon skills on that note!
  • And it kind of puts the "internet marketing is doomed" naysayers in their place.

It looks like no-one bothered to tell the folk with the cash.
