How can I open a US Bank Account? (Not a citizen of US)

What options do I have? I can see large number of ads floating on Google but just can't rely on them.

I want to hear your experience. Which is the best service available out there using which I can open a US bank account.

(I am not a citizen of US) I don't mind spending $$ if service is good and reliable.

    You can open an offshore account (in USD$) with some banks. Where do you live? If it's the UK, Barclays offer dollars accounts. I think Lloyds do an 'international' account in USD/Euros too.
