List Building Masters, Can You Help Me?

Hello buddies,

This time I want to give a serious shot to list building. Previously I had taken a half hearted effort for list building and result was not so good to brag about.

I am into xbox 360 repair niche and I am building anywhere between 100 to 150 subscribers per day. My optin conversion rate is 35%. I have three questions;

1)Is building list in xbox 360 repair niche[Gaming niche] will be profitable?
2)What products do I cross sell to my list? Though I have done home work (game download sites, gaming consoles, xbox mods) still I need some ideas from you.. So I can get a different vision to think.
3)How can I improve my optin conversion rate?(currently its 35%)

    I think 100+ subscribers per day is already pretty good. If you are gettin them from a squeeze page 35% is not very good, you should get more than 50% at least. Try and work on your squeeze page. - Strong headline, bullet point benefits, opt in form above fold.

    advertisers within the xbox 360 repair niche, then
    it could be a profitable niche for you - with the right
    approach.

    2) I don't know about the xbox 360 niche so I wouldn't
    know what you could cross-sell. Take a look at what
    your competitors are doing and what affiliate opportunities
    are available.

    Also, ask yourself:

    What do my subscribers buy before, during and after
    they get an xbox 360?

    That will give you some pointers towards potential cross-sell
    products.

    3) If your opt-in rate is 35%, then there's plenty of room
    for improvement, so focus on the usual suspects...

    - Your offer - how relevant and desirable is your opt-in
    offer that you're making?
    - Your headline - does it really stop them in their tracks
    and want them to read further?
    - Your video or text - is it compelling?
    - Requested information - asking for just the e-mail will
    increase your opt-in rates.

    Yes, 35% opt-in is pretty much fantastic, and yes I think you can make money in this niche with a alist that is growing by 100 per day - this is an excellent number.

    Honestly just keep doing what you are doing for the next month and then start testing out different emails to them - you should see which of the xbox repair guides (several on clickbank for starters) converts the best for you then really push that one more, but also you should try some semi-related offers - like game guides, cheat packs, or any other gaming related products you can find - these probably wont convert quite as well but should bring in some money to justify them.

    Man, I wish I had more affiliates like you, both you and me would be banking a lot better - 100 signups a day is ace! Congratulations!

      Thank you buddy for your words. Last test was a fail, I have added urgency factor to my landing page but my optin conversion dropped to 25%. For next couple of days I am going to test different landing pages.

    100 subs a day is very healthy, but as you rightly are focused on, they're useless without some way to monetize the list. I hear often that the gaming market is tough to sell to, but if what you target is repairing the consoles, that "rule" may not apply to you. Could you maybe write a DIY tutorial to help people fix their own consoles? I'd focus on maybe 3-5 common minor problems with the machines, write up a nice step-by-step tutorial on fixing at home, and sell that bad boy to my list. Push the fact that everyone who owns XBox should get your guide because the last thing you want is to have some minor repair job stop you in the middle of some serious gaming action. That kind of approach will probably sell more of them for you.

    There are a ton of items to cross sell search google for gamimg affiliate programs, etc....
    look at Linkshare, CJ, Clickbank, etc....
