What stats do affiliates want to know?

I'm currently in the process of setting up a new affiliate network and I know a lot of people aren't happy with the stats displayed by the other networks but I don't really know what they'd like to see instead.

So for all vendors and affiliates out there - What stats would you like to see about a product?

Edit to add - I'm not worried about stats on your own traffic/sales once you've started since that's something of a solved problem but rather what statistics would help you select a product to promote.

    Good luck collecting this information.

You might perhaps be well advised to ignore anyone suggesting that "overall conversion-rate" would be a good thing to have available. For two reasons: (i) it's the easiest thing in the world for people to reduce their competitors' apparent conversion-rates just by visiting their sales-page and not ordering (or by sending automated "traffic" to do the same), so the figures would rapidly become meaningless; (ii) what matters to serious affiliates is the conversion-rate for their traffic, not anyone else's, anyway. I'm just saying ...

Sorry, I think I may have phrased the question badly.

I'm not so worried about stats available once you start driving traffic and making sales but the stats that would help you select a product to promote.

    I'll update the OP.

    Cheers,

    Andy

Personally I like to have a rough estimate how many other people are promoting the product as well. Clickbank provides a rough estimate with the gravity.

Also return rates are vitally important. If the customer is not satisfied with the product I promote it is hard to keep my relationship with him strong.

Alexa has pretty much nailed it (as usual), but if I had to give an answer, I'd want to know conversion and refund rates by source of traffic.
