Help Me decide. "GuaranteeNothing" do or ditch And what to do with it?

Hi All,

I get most the ideas for the sites I build and flip from words spoken here on the forum.

I've gotten a ton of ideas from Allen's wisdom and a ton more from random posts by others.

Examples? Years ago one of the most popular PPC sites was goto.com I put All on it and made a lot of money with AllGoTo.com.... I've bought and sold names of IM products and variations there of. Now to my quandary...

A while back we were discussing, on the Warrior Forum, the subject of guaranteeing products and a Warrior said "I guarantee nothing. Before that and after that I noticed well known Warriors selling WSOs with the disclaimer.... "Buy this only if you are sure you want it, NO MONEY BACK."

Inspired by that I bought the URL GuaranteeNothing.com

I'm preparing a bunch of sites/blogs to flip and I can't think of a "theme" or a "reason" for GuaranteeNothing.com

Should I just ditch this one (among many others )

Any suggestions?

    I can see why you asked for some help on this one
    After some brain and google storming I came up with this:

    Using google and searching the keyword "guarantee nothing"
    brings back results regarding news. So maybe a all around
    news blog could be build around it. A blog with bold statements
    and stuff like that.

    Also maybe a review site... about what? I don't have a clue

    hard domain to build around.

    You could set it up as a review site for products that have a "no refund" policy. That way potential buyers will really read what you have to say since they can get a deeper insight into the product before buying it. When there is no refund possible, people will take more time to decide whether something is worth it and I'm sure do more research on "product name + review".

    Just a thought.

    When I hear "guarantee nothing"...

    I think, 'we "guarantee nothing" will...' or 'I "guarantee nothing" works better than...'

    Doesn't one of the insurance companies have a voice over on one og their commercials that says "we guarantee nothing will...." (Alstate may be)


    And I think the Orek Vacuum cleaner mans says "I guarantee nothing works like an orek"

    Just a little brainstorming on some other directions this domain can go...

    Hi George

    I found this post because by searching for 'no refund policy'... I am considering it for a future product. It's a completely unique fitness system that will be enormously beneficial, but tedious and a very long journey involving thousands of hours, and I only expect a tiny percentage of people to persevere with it.

    So my thinking is that if I am totally upfront with the customer, tell them in the minutest detail what is involved, discouraging them from buying but still having tons of testimonials that will sway them, then I have absolutely no need for a refund.

    With that in mind... is it possible that there are some 'best of the best' products that have no refunds, and which you could build your site around?

    Your headline could be something like "I flinched when I heard a famous marketer say "I guarantee nothing"... but when I investigated further..."

    I remember seeing a quality piece of Graffiti on "Nothing" and "Politics" It said:

    Hi George,

    A few ideas come to mind.

    Get a lawyer to write generic disclaimers about earnings/performance which can be sold to webmasters/marketers.

    Put up ads for lawyers who specialize in writing pre-nuptial agreements
    (Love Guarantees Nothing).

    A spin on the Viagra market (maybe monetized with Eben Pagan/David de Angelo's dating product).

    "Performance will vary depending on the individual . . ."

    Or continue the sentence
    "I Guarantee Nothing Here Is Less Than Top Notch" and promote all the great products you have bought.

    How about a forum in which people discuss merchants/stores etc.. not abiding by guarantees? sort of like a rant/ consumer aware forum.

    You could have a "Lemon" sub-forum where people can vent their views on the rent-a-wreck they just got finance for lol.
