Facebook Pros - Need Some Help!

Hi guys,

Just wondering if it's possible to have multiple facebook accounts automatically feed their status updates/posts into one main account?

I've looked into Sendible, but was wondering if there was a function within facebook itself which does the same thing?

It's for the branding of a company's different products, each of which has their own facebook accounts. The owner wants the status updates of each product to automatically update the main business' facebook account status.

If this is possible within facebook itself, do they need to be accounts or pages or groups, or does it not matter?

Cheers,
Sissy

Well first of all, I need some clarification on how you have this thing set up...

When you say accounts that these products are set up on, are they individual profiles? Or do they have a fan page set up for each of these products?

Is the main "account" also a fan page?

Despite the technicalities behind the way these are structured, you won't be able to automatically update them within Facebook itself.

Depending on the structure of how these things are put together, you may be able to use Ping.fm to accomplish what you are trying to do...

Wouldn't you just simply create a master account that is your brand name and then accounts for each product. Make sure there all friends and the status updates would then be shared amongst all friends? Maybe I'm missing something but this sounds pretty basic.

      Thanks for your responses guys,

I've already got them as each others' friends, however, was wondering if facebook itself has a function where each account/page/whatever can be updated with the same post, or is it something which the client will need to use a non-facebook service/app to do?

Hope that makes things a little clearer - they just want to simplify the status updates for all of their accounts/pages and have it coming from one source - if you know what I mean?

      Cheers,
      Sissy

I'd recommend checking Ping.fm as well for automating feeds as well, which can root into or out of wordpress If I believe, thus updating status off of timed wordpress post. Try linking more than 1 FB account with Ping or check into hootsuite or socialoomph cause I use socialoomph with a few twitter accounts...
