Hello

I want to start building a list from my blog and know I will need an autoresponder and I want to give away a free e-book.

What I don't understand - and to most this is a going to sound like a really simple question I know :-) - is how after the person has signed up to the list do I get the book to them. I know they will need to download it from a link, but does this have to connect to my site? What I am really asking I guess is the mechanics of the download and how I upload the book to my site etc??

Any help much appreciated, Ali

They don't necessarily have to download it from a link..

You can add it as an attachment in your first follow up e-mail if you wish.....

    Peace

Thanks Jay - I didn't realise it could be done that way, that is really helpful.

There are times you may have more than one attachments and they can be very big files sometimes and you can put a download link in the email.

Big files like audio and video files are some examples.

If you use a "proper" autoresponder service such as Aweber, you can just send them to a "success" page AFTER they sign up and confirm their subscription... making it all automatic.

Just sent you a version of my latest report.
