Help Desk Set Up Questions, need advise.

Hi Guys,

I am playing with an idea of setting up a Help Desk and found the following available within Fantastico (the place where we set up one click word press) bundle in my Cpanel:

-osTicket
-PerlDesk
-PHP Support Tickets
-Support Logic Helpdesk
-Support Services Manager

Anyone have any experience with any of these?

Which is better? What are the pro and cons.
Or is it better we get our help desk set up elsewhere?
Is so, what will be the cost like?

Also when do you think is the best time to set up a help desk?

Anything, anyone?
Thanks in Advance.

Cheers

The first help desk software I used was osTicket as it
was easy to install using Fantastico.

Later on, I decided to move over to HESK because
    it's got more functionality:

Help Desk Software HESK - a free PHP help desk (no affil.)

It's free and if you are comfortable installing scripts,
    then it's a great option.

    Jason,

I agree with Shaun. Hesk is what you want. I have used it for years and love it. Very easy to set up and maintain. They have a free version or you can get the Pro version fairly cheap (removes the developer link at the bottom of the page).

    Thanks,

    John

Just incase you're still wondering if HESK is as good as everyone says, here's my vote for the software as well
