Need help marketing

I have a website that sells a social media webbook and I don't know how to market it. I bought it for $300 from the seller who told me it was getting $150 a month. I should have known it was too good to be true. i now have not gotten one hit on the site and have basically thrown away $300. Can someone help learn how to market this site because I am new to this.

    Always ask for proof of income first. And take into account the reputation of the person selling it. Did you ask why they would sell it for only 2 months earnings if it was really making $150/month?

    If I were you, I'd give away this ebook in exchange for an email opt-in. I'd spend some time building my list that way. And then market other products to your list. There are so many free social media books out there right now; who is going to pay for one?

    If your question is how to market the website itself, that's a whole other story. SEO, Social Media, Articles, etc.

    The first skill you should learn is how to write an enticing title. "Need help marketing" is too vague and will not entice Warriors to read the thread. You also need to entice people on your web site with good titles.

    Copywriting is a good skill to learn. "Letting Go of the Words" is a book that can get you started. Article marketing is arguably the best technique to draw visitors to your site. "Inbound Marketing" is a good summary of marketing on the net.

    You need to get traffic and assess if the site is converting that
    traffic to sales.

    PayPerClick marketing is a good way to test some highly targeted
    traffic. If you can spend $1 and earn back $1.25 you'll have a profitable
    site.

    If you insist on going the free traffic route, there's a lot of gray
    area in terms of how targeted the free traffic will be so the value
    per visitor tends to be lower than with targeted methods like
    PayperClick.

    The best way to market any type of product online is through PPC or pay per click. This is the best way to get traffic and sales.

    I personally don't believe that you can do FREE marketing and earn a nice income online.

    Pay per click is still the #1 strategy if you want to earn money online and getting as much traffic as possible to your site.

    If you've never done Adwords, you can shop around and find
    vouchers for $100 in clicks. I get the vouchers in the mail
    from time to time from hosting companies and domain registrars.

    You can only use such a voucher if you do NOT presently
    have an Adwords account.

    You can buy the vouchers on Ebay too.

      I tried to use adwords and they said my landing page was not appropriate for advertising.

      They threatened to cancel my account so i stopped the campaign. My site is cashingsocialnetworking.com

    There's Warrior thread called, "Help Me Write Killer Titles" that you might find useful.

    Google AdWords is complex, so you should study it before composing an ad, or you could hire someone to help. All the AdWords defaults are set up for you to waste as much money as possible, so it will pay to figure out their game.
