Fiverr= Waste of Time!

I'm wasted about 5 days on Fiverr and it's just such a bad experience for me. After seeing the reviews and talk of the town about fiverr I thought to try it out.

I've been trying to look for some services reasonable but I realize that man of the gigs listed aren't all that it's made up to me. Worse of all I can barely communicate with the workers. Many of them have so bad broken english.

I have no issue with broken English but you can just tell they don't take any effort at all in their communication. They give you 1-2 word answers and make you run around the bush only to find out that their service is not what it really is.

I've seen so many people claim to do this and that but you get nothing! I'm just so frustrated because I've wasted so much time into it trying to find what seemed to be a good deal from a good provider only to find it became a waste of time.

Anyone else felt that way? Also if you have any good providers you use on fiverr please do share

Sorry just had to rant a bit there.I mean I spent about 24 hours wasting and procrastinating there while reducing my capabilities to communicate with constant 1-3 word replies and answers I thought it justified taking 2.4 minutes to write a quick rant

I won't share the people I've used that are good since I'm going to use them for several tasks.

However, I can tell you that Fiverr.com is a good place to find workers. Just spend time to communicate with them and ask for samples.

It's like hiring an article writer. You'll have to test and hire several of them before you find a good one.

I've used fiverr from both sides... somes people post unrealistic obs but most are pretty good. If you have an issue, just ask for a refund and most won't care.

Thanks read it. Should have avoided it completely. Cost my more time I could have done the work myself and more headache as well.

Haha true, I guess. It takes a long time though and in that time I could probably complete the work myself.

First of all, you have to read the reviews first. I used to go blind in on Fiverr, now Im more adept to wait in a que and buy from someone who is really good. When I first started Fiverr I thought all gigs were equal.... yeah... thats not the case.

In my experience, buying gigs from my friends in the Phillipines and India has been the BEST value for me. With Americans, I usually get $2 worth of value for my gig. With my international friends, I usually get $15 worth of value. Now I go into gigs looking for international providers.

That's just my experience though. What type of gigs are you ordering?

Fiverr, like anything else, takes a bit of leg work to 'figure out' what/who the best Fiverrs are.

On the other side of the house, I created a sales funnel, in a way never seen before on Fiverr, and earned almost $60 in one day....

Wow, you got a wrong guy. I had made some money at fiverr also, and I think some services is good. First, you need to search your looking for giggs with your keyword, try many related keyword. If you see the people do not have feedback, leave them and see more. It will take time to find a good guys. It like a open market, you can find the gold, but you can also find the rubbish. My few cents.

You wont be doing much business then as most people require payment up front for most business services.

Normally the ones that dont ask for payment upfront are desperate for the work

Elance and other Freelance sites do not require payout first and I prefer that arrangement of doing business when outsourcing. So yes, I don't do a lot of business or any with people who want upfront money without a lot of credibility.

          it works both ways...

when I do consulting work, I request 1/2 of the fee upfront and the balance once the project is done...service providers can get ripped off too...I once got ripped off for over $1000...so you cannot expect someone to do all the work for you and not get at least a deposit upfront

many people in this thread are expecting top notch quality work for $5...please...get a grip...you get what you pay for, as I posted in the other "fiverr" thread

Apparently some of you are using Fiverr the totally wrong way. Here's an example of why Fiverr really rocks....

            I wonder what she'd do for $10?

My experience with Fiverr has been phenomenal. But I'm smart enough to only work with providers that can obviously fulfill their obligations. I think instead of saying Fiverr sucks, I'd be more inclined to think that the person having a hard time sucks at using Fiverr.

I do offer various services on Fiverr as well. Also, I have made a couple orders related to articles.

For me, the problems with Fiverr system are that you cannot explain your offer in detail(450 words) and most of the time the buyer does not ask whether or not you can do their request before ordering(for some services, this is necessary). This wastes their time.

Boy I have been lucky , I have had two jobs done on there and both were great , one for a radio ad and the other was for some Powerpoint slides after that was done which btw was perfect he then asked what was I going to do with it ,so he then mention at no extra cost to put the video and v/o together...

So as everyone on here as mention just look around and ask for ask for some samples of their work like articles, designs etc first so you see there work and decide

I have listed a number of gigs on fiverr but no-one is buying...

I guess until you have feedback it is hard to get momentum?

Anyway, I will keep persevering. It is just frustrating when you know deep down that you are offering a lot more value than $5.

By the way, I like the video above Jason.

    Try zeerk.com, fiverr's competition.

There are options for higher price services there. They recently ran a deal where they paid 25 cents for each gig you listed, and the buzz got them a load of new gigs and new providers. There are kinds of services you ca't find on fiverr since there are options for $15, $25 services.

As for fiverr, you really have to pay attention to their feedback scores and how they respond to your inquiries. Ask them stuff before you buy, and run a mile if they are brushing you off with 2 words and lack the basic English skills.

There are some awesome providers on fiverr, when I run into one I bookmark and always order from them. Providers with a whole bunch of orders in queue are usually very good.

Your stereotyping everyone on Fiverr just because it did not work out for you. You win some and you lose some. You also need to be clear in your communication. You also wanted to know if other warriors knew any good providers on Fiverr...but with regards to what...pick a niche, one or even 5 and then we can help you out....specific statements or questions always get answered faster and its easier for us to help.

I used Fiverr once last month and seriously became disgusted and annoyed with the experience. I say this because I had 3 people post linkwheel jobs, and then cancel mine, which was relatively simple. Then someone sold something with a crack and the crack didn't work. FTR, I knew the chances of the crack working were slim to none but since the company has a "no refund" policy, and none of the other jobs were worth my time, I did it to spend the $5 and get it over with.

    NEVER again.

Fiverr is most appropriate for silly stunts (such as the stunt above) or automated jobs performed by software. Expecting extensive, custom work from such a site may be expecting too much. I recommend that those with serious projects persue them through serious services -- services that guarantee delivery and that offer real cash-back refunds rather than account refunds.

Fiverr is NOT a Waste of time I tell you that...

Like anything in life, even many things & services for sales up on this board takes trial & error, time and due dilligence plus oersonal failure experience to correct weed out the poor the ugly, the bad & the good...

Actually if you keep diggin on fiverr u might hit and land on a hidden gold mine... as some great service is offered at that sensored price. Also, have you tried searching around on on fiverr topics of making money.. many white/black hat approaches, many very creative (broken english or clear whatnot). I have personally casted my marbles at like 20 of them for $5 a pop, until i finally landed on something that I can take swing and run with.

Keep seeking and you shall find, my friend, patience + perserverance, never giving up IS WHAT MAKE THE HEART OF A TRUE CHAMPION...

I've had a ton of great success with Fiverr. I think the trick is to find people who aren't just marketers. Find the people who are genuinely interested in listing their services who don't run a giant marketing ring or have a network of thousands of sites. Find the youngsters or the non internet marketers. You can usually tell because if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I've USED the services however, not actually sold my services, I wouldn't never sell stuff for $5, seems a bit un-scalable if you ask me considering all the potential customer service emails/hassles...

In fact, the main issue with the site is that it's over-crowded with People that are not qualified and just trying to make some money.

Most of them have placed gigs but are not sure if they can really deliver.

I visited the site- zeerk.com. The postings are full of silly mistakes, doesn't give me any confidence. 70% American providers could me a myth or maybe Americans are being sloppy as well...lol.

Maybe I will check out the site later again. Spending more time might reveal something I haven't seen at the first glance.

I have been making $100-$150 per month on there regularly since they started. That extra money pays for my web hosting, domains, autoresponder, and my MRR membership.

It's all trial and error. You'll get a few duds before you find a good seller. There are many "diamonds in the rough" on Fiverr if you have the patience to look.

I got two Wp headers, over a thousand back links (they were kind a spammy but they worked),15 articles and 4 press releases for a around 50 bucks and they work really well for me so far.

I won't lie I had some really crappy experiences but as another warrior said earlier, it's trial and error and you just got to search for that really great gem.

A Fiverr special tip: If there is a seller that has a gig you are interested in, he has more than 3 orders pending, plus a lot of good feedback, then go ahead and order. I usually have to wait a bit longer, but the work is always what I wanted or better.

I had a long look at Fiverr last week and found some very interesting gigs that I hope to use in the future, based on the glowing feedback for some. One awesome voice-over gig really caught my imagination for a website launch I'm working on. But the gigs I'm interested in NOW - 3 SEO gigs - have failed to respond to my request. So, to keep looking or give up?

It helps to have the tasks you need executed planned out. Then find the right contractors and simply give them the work.
