Has anyone had complaints after selling to their list

Has anyone had complaints from your own list if you promoted Rob Benwell's
product "Blogging to the Bank PREMIUM BLOG" ?

The reason I'm asking is that there seems to be loads of complaints about the
blog not being setup or lack of response to emails and was wondering how you
would deal with any of your list contacting you direct, would you advise getting
a refund through clickbank or would you advise waiting ?

There must be some warriors who promoted his product who are now kicking
themselves due the complaints they're getting.

Cheers
Andy

    Hi Andy,

I am not familiar with the product, however, I would like to offer a possible solution by asking you a question.

What you say to a personal friend in the same situation?

I think the answer to that question will send you in the right direction on what to tell your list.

    All the best,
    Michael

I would have researched the product on google. I usually look for complaints and honest reviews that are not from people trying to sell the product. If it gets several complaints I will move on to greener pastures.

Promoting a bad product reflects on who you are...

Thats what I was more concerned about, I guess researching the product is vital
to make sure the product/service you offer has good reviews.

      Michael,

Think you got it spot on with "What would you say to a personal friend in the same situation"

    Hi Andy,

I have never heard of this product before but if they are getting all the info that they paid for and no response from customer support, then I would encourage them to try to emailing Rob's support team again.

If they still don't get any replies, then you can tell them to simply ask for a refund. That is what I would tell my subscribers to do if there was no email or personal support from the product owner.

Did you test this offer before sending it to your list? The most important thing in Email Marketing is to keep testing in order to prevent this kind of situation. Your reputation depends on the message you are sending... If it's not relevant to your target, then your reputation will be damaged

Testing an offer, especially in the IM arena, is not always possible. This is especially true during product launches. You (as promoter) may have seen the core components of the course, but there is no way to test ongoing support until the fat hits the fire.

Even then, as an affiliate or JV partner, you may not get the same treatment as a rank and file buyer. Think about it - who gets the choice portions and the most attention? The guy off the street, or the restaurant critic who can send dozens to hundreds of additional customers?

Great point John, I guess in some situations you can only go by the reputation of
        your JV partner.

        Thanks for your input.

        Cheers

Testing, or anything else for that matter, may not prevent anything; however, it could minimize it.

You are right on about your reputation being important, and relevancy counts for something, but the main thing is to offer value. I can imagine situations where I would send non-relevant messages to the people on my lists, but I can't see not offering value.

      All the best,
