Hey Warriors,

I'm working on a website for one of my clients who wants a video like the one on the front page here:

Best Diet Plan for Weight Loss with Meal Plans and Easy Recipes

It's not the same niche but they really like how the video was done. Do you know if this was created in Powerpoint and then recorded with something like Camtasia?

If not, can somebody point me in the right direction?

I would almost say definitely .... Just by the animations... Maybe Keynote, but I doubt it.

  Camtasia has a tool which directly plugs in to PowerPoint which makes recording from it ridiculously easy.
  
  It is a PowerPoint presentation with Camtasia recording it (or Mac equivalent).
  
  The video player is Flowplayer which is open source and OK to use for commercial purposes.

I believe it is playing on the site using this program: http://flowplayer.org/

It could be a flash or Powerpoint presentation exported as flash - the source code file of the presentation is a .swf file.

You can do something almost identical in Keynote, which can then be exported as Flash.

Here's what Wikipedia has to say about .swf file creators:

SWF files can be generated from within several Adobe products: Flash, Flash Builder (an IDE), as well as through MXMLC, a command line application compiler which is part of the freely available Flex SDK. Other than Adobe products, SWFs can be built with open source Motion-Twin ActionScript 2 Compiler (MTASC), the open source Ming library, the free software suite SWFTools, the proprietary SWiSH Max2. There are also various third party programs that can produce files in this format, such as Multimedia Fusion 2, Captivate, SWiSH Max or BannerSnack.

I think it is made by PowerPoint and convert to swf format by a PowerPoin to Flash converter. Can Camtasia export swf file?

You also can convert to flv file for uploading on web with a PowerPoint to video converter. Camtasia also can do!
