trying to rank a goarticles article...

without much success.

I have been linking my goarticles article to ezine (I have many links pointing to my goarticles article from ezine). I have no other backlinks.

Would google devalue my backlinks because thousands of other ezine articles are also pointing to goarticles?

I assume I would have achieved better results if I was linking my ezine articles to my own site.

Any help appreciated.

    The info you gave is vague.

    There are many factors that would "devalue" backlinks such as the keywords used, whether the backlink is a nofollow or dofollow, etc, etc..

    A good assessment of your situation needs a clearer picture of your problem..

      Basically what im asking is whether google places less link juice to my goarticle article from ezine if eveyone else at goarticles is also getting backlinks from ezine.

    Only Google knows the answer to that one. Depends what you are trying to rank for.

    If your intention is to rank your goarticle article, focus on linking to it instead of "linking goarticles article to ezine". Also, try to link from many other sources besides from 1 article directory.
