The Search Engine List - What's your favorite and why?

Hi Warriors,
I was thinking that if we compiled a list of SE's including the reasons why we use them it
may help other Warriors in the future.

Google.com - Because it helps me with my AdSense & AdWords plus it
helps me locate profitable niches.

Bing.com - It's new and gives me results Big G. doesn't.

MSN.com - Not really sure why other than it brings me sales.

DogPile.com - Because it allows me to search a few different SE's at once
listing only the Top results from each.

I'll stop there to leave a few for other warriors to list and tell why they
use them.

Thanks for Your Time,
Have a Great Day!
Michael

Baidu - This is the google of china, its pretty awesome really (especially if searching for chinese multimedia)

Ask - likes to return results where the title has questions in them, some times i can find unique stuff here too

i also use bing a lot more now days for the same reason as you. i get a lot of unique results from them that google does not provide me.

back in the day altavista was cool but now the results are not much diffrent than yahoo

I enjoy Google most, because they send me the most traffic out of all search engines. I don't think, I could create a full income with just yahoo and bing alone. Google gives majority of the traffic.

Thanks for this thread Michael I know there are other SE's but I never use them as I believed Google was all knowing.

This thread has made me realize I may be getting a very one sided Picture if I am only chasing Google.

Oh .... I have used Twitter search and yes it only searches inside twitter but Twitter is calling themselves the fastest growing search engine so who knows maybe thats the future of search.

    LOL

Google, to see how I look to the majority of IMers...

Yahoo, to check backlinks to my websites...

Bing, when I want real information that can be trusted... Bing is not yet making the inroads on the search marketplace, only because Google is a habit that is hard to put down...

I have been working for a couple of months to quit smoking... Three months ago, I was smoking three packs a day... Now, less than half a pack a day... Almost there folks...

But if it is hard for me to give up the smoking habit, imagine how hard it is going to be for other people to give up their Google... LOL...

People don't use Google because it provides better results... If they did, they would be leaving Google by the droves... Nope, they use it because they are addicted to it...

First off, congratulations on cutting down on the smoking.

As for the Google addiction, damn, I hope folks don't give it up just yet. I have literally, (about 5 seconds ago, lol), just posted about the fact that practically every one of my search engine visitors come from Google, (on one of my sites). Bing and Yahoo account for less than 1% of that site's search engine traffic!

Now I am going to have to figure out why.

I only worry about Google they are the kings. You should also pay attention to Bing, they are gaining market share.

Google is still the number one because it helps me a lot. Yahoo is the next.

You know these are the same, right?

Also (to the others), Yahoo's US English results are now using the Bing search engine.
