Can you test this software for me?

Hi All,

I was wondering if some of you might be able to test this application out for me. Just a quick run through. Mainly the installation on different operating systems. It will work on Windows 2000 or higher.

Here is the direct download link.
http://ProfitTigerSystems.com/tam.exe

I would really be interested in the 64 bit arena.

Edited: This is a windows software program that helps create ebooks, reports, charts and keeps track of private label materials. I am concerned more of the 64 bit operating systems than the others. I don't have any 64 bit operating systems I can test on.

Thanks in advance,
#software

Installed perfectly on WinXP Pro 32bit. The only page that didn't appear was the home tab for eBooks. Everything else worked fine.

For anyone that isn't sure, Thomas makes solid software.

Normally I would never do this not knowing what this is. lol A description would be of help.

At first glance, V64 U is a no go. DLL file appears on desktop upon opening and spyware goes nuts. Reinstalling with different compatibility mode and running as admin.

HEHE. I understand why you would be more hesitant to install a software product without knowing what it is or whom I am. I figured enough people on here have done business with me so they would trust me to help a brother out. lol

I was a little worried about the 64 bit version. I don't know why the spyware would go crazy. I think it has to do with a component that I need to generate for 64bit which is what I was afraid of.

      Thanks,

    Hi Thomas

Im running Windows Vista HOme Premium with Service Pack 1 wth the 64bit operating system, most of it worked apart from the ebook section i got this error

Exception occurs while assigning the 'DetailView, ID:Ebook_DetailView' view to WinWindow:
The TX Text Control kernel DLL file could not be found.

I couldnt add anything to it, as soon as i clicked on the ebooks, then new, then ebooks i got the error.

    Hope that helps

Thanks a lot James. That was the component I was referring to. I was really hoping I didn't have to create two different installations for 32 and 64 bit.

You guys are great for helping me out like this.

Yeah, something rang a bell associated with you...

You're in the clear for running it, just make sure you include clear instructions for Vista to reduce support tickets and stupid questions.

This isn't necessary for everyone (Vista home and ultimate differ)...

    My procedure- (V64 Ultimate)
Download>Run as XP sp2, Run as administrator, if pinged by spyware upon first run, allow changes to program files (x86), and all should be good from there on out.

Dunno how to add reports or charts....seems to be no options or function not operational. No errors. Same with ebooks and PLP. Not sure if your file saving structure is working as I'm not able to add those. (note- the file saving structure is typically one of the issues with vista (x86)).

    Hope that helps,
    Good Luck

Where you able to bring up the ebooks window by clicking the new button without the same error that James got?

The new button at the top should open the charts and reports. You have to select the object from the drop down. I need docs for this stuff.

      This helps a lot.

      Thanks,

Vista security was killing me. lol

I normally have it off but had to turn it on in order to test my software. I hate it with a passion. I couldn't get dreamweaver to add new html files without running it as admin. I couldn't run camtasia at all. I had to disable the UAC in order to run camtasia.

      Thanks for your help James.

Yes, originally there were no errors, just nothing initiated with ebooks. (This could be my fault and may have locked the software up. It was a little slow.)

I was able to add PLP's this time around and save them. After being saved, moving to ebooks, now I get the below error. When moving back to PLP's after successfully saving two, I get the second error below.

Exception occurs while assigning the 'DetailView, ID:Ebook_DetailView' view to WinWindow:
The TX Text Control kernel DLL file could not be found.

Exception occurs while assigning the 'ListView, IDrivateLabel_ListView' view to WinWindow:
Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object.

    Update:

When opening the software fresh, PLP works just fine....entering, saving, reopening, etc...

Once you move to ebooks and get an error for the first time, it triggers the same response from PLP. Ebooks left unopened, no issue.

    Scheduler works.

    Cheers
