How do you cancel a monthly subscription?

Hey Warriors,

Having an issue trying to cancel a monthly subscription with one of the
so called well known "gurus".

I've written a couple times with no reply back. I paid using a credit card
and called the credit card company and they say I have to contact the
merchant which I've already done.

Does one have to cancel their credit card because that's a hassle.

Any other ideas.

    Do you remember how you paid?

    Was it by PayPal, ClickBank or a different merchant?

    PayPal and ClickBank are easy to cancel - a different merchant will be a different story.

    Your credit card company should be more supportive - usually they have no problem "fixing" things like this.

    Dean, if you paid by credit card contact them and tell them that you have tried to cancel the subscription but cannot contact the merchant. They wlll stop payments for you and get a refund if you have been charged after canceling.

    I have had to do this in the past. You can also contact the merchant again with an email stating that you will inform people in all the forums and on all the lists you belong to about his tactics. This has also worked for me.

    Hope it helps. Generally I hate using my credit card and will only do it if I know the merchant. Otherwise its Paypal for me.

    I'm glad it worked out, Dean. Does anybody know if the Paypal plug in that lets you use Paypal on non-Paypal sites can be used for subscriptions such as the one Dean was a part of? If it is, maybe that's an option for setting up subscriptions in the future.

    I can't use the plug in because I read that it's not compatible with Vista.
