    Viddler is pretty good.

Depends on the types of videos you are looking to add.

Each video distribution place has it's own set of rules.

Are you looking to add marketing videos only? Are you looking to control the videos completely? Are these videos to be public or private?

May I ask why you don't want to use youtube? Are you trying to avoid any logos on your video?

Is your site built on Wordpress?

The Wordpress Flowplayer plugin is really cool. All you have to do is put your video file up on your server and enter some tags into your post/page and you are good to go!

Pardon me for my lack of knowledge...will putting the video through my own host or through youtube is faster? The last time I want to see is the video lacking when visitor comes.

There are advantages and disadvantages to adding your video to external sites.

Places like youtube will stream a video for you nicely. You also may gain extra traffic by adding it there as you can link in the description to your site.

On your own host, it will depend on a lot of factors - such as the file type of the video, the size, etc.

Video needs to stream, and if you are on shared hosting and have a big video this may be an issue.

If you have a short little clip that is an flv or something it may be no issue what so ever.

If you get little traffic you may be fine. If you get hammered with traffic and you are on your own hosting company they may get silly with you.

If it were my first video and was just a intro or promo I wanted to share with a lot of people, I wouldn't hesitate to put it on a site such as youtube as this will help you get more exposure. It's a quick way to just get it up on the site, and later you can change the embed code if you wish.

Seems logical to use youtube. I will use on youtube. Thank you so much for clearing my head!

Don't let things get in the way of getting the page up and running.

Pop it on youtube, and you can also look for other video distribution sites that will allow you to put it up as it will be more and more exposure for you.

If you feel you need to just put it on your site, this will allow you to use a simple embed code for the time being, and take some more time to investigate more options.

But honestly, if you want to get traffic and get the word out about something, have a nice watermark on your video with your web address on it, and put it out there where ever you can.

I'm asking my video creator to add in the watermark now. Thank you for the tips!

You might look at GoView - GoView™ Beta : Home - it's a free screen capture recorder and video converter. You can share the link (like in emails you send) or embed on your site (like a YouTube video). And they will convert it to MPEG-4 and email you when it's ready. But it's not the best quality, from my limited testing. Super easy to use, too.

FLV Player - It's amazingly simple and looks nice. No branding on it or anything like that.
