Testing ClickBank Products?

Is it possible to get an insight into a product you plan to promote on ClickBank?

Some products, such as the Stream Digital (online sat. tv) I cannot promote without testing. It could be a poor product. So I don't fancy putting in hard work setting up a campaign if what I'm writing (based on their landing page) is BS.

If there is no option for publishers to test a product, I think there should be. I don't fancy purchasing a product for the sake of testing if their sales page is full of over hyped lies.

If you get what I mean.

  • I take 2 approaches.

    1) Contact the product owner and ask for a review copy

    2) Sign up as an affiliate and buy the product through my link. Do my review, if I like it, I usually keep it. If it sucks, I return it.

    • Yeah I was thinking about the second option, but is there ever any issues with returns? Or do they generally refund?

  • Ask the publisher to give you access to try it out. Tell them you are looking into promoting it.
  • Purchased it. The purcahse was worth it because it now makes the promotion difficult. Their landing page lies. I can't understand how they have a high grav. It would be so easy for me to do something similar i.e. create the software myself and sell it.

    Kinda cheap what they did. It aggregates content from a popular website.

    If I was to promote the software, I'd have to put a different spin on it now.

    Would I be able to post videos of the actual video's as part of the review?

    The software is Stream Direct. It's a load of junk. I'd have to chop out the whole UK demographic because they only have 1 channel. It also aggregates data and videos from Live Stream.

    • One way you can do up a review fast is to do a video review - You can either make use of Camtasia Studio (you can download a 30-day free trial here - Download Camtasia Studio, TechSmith's Screen Recording Software) or you can use a video camera (they are so readily available) and then do a video review...

      What you can do is to do a walk-through of the members' area - Pointing out to people things such as how easy to sign up, what's inside the members' area (sometimes what's written in the sales letter and what's in the download page can be different), your first impression of the product after you have gained access to the members' area, what you like about it (as well as what you don't like about it), and final verdict (whether you recommend the product [you must be recommending it, otherwise why review the product? LOL] and also you will want to suggest who will be able to benefit most from the product).

      Don't need to be a super long video review - Just about 4 - 5 minutes will do...

      And remember, tell people to click on your link to get the product!!!
