Massive Offline Project - But What Would You Do Online?

Hey!

I'm just about to launch a 5 star weight loss retreat at at a popular castle here in Devon in the UK. It's going to be very high end, 5 star, peeps will pay 2200-2500 UK for 5 nights to stay there and it will get quite a bit of media coverage - celebrities etc.

I have an idea of what I want to do online with a membership site, video the workshops and sell the DVDs etc, but I was wondering, what would you do to really make use of this great opportunity?

Sorry I can't PM yet!

Cheers

How fun! OK, first send us all free overnight passes

OK, just kidding. Some ideas to kick things off:

    1) Set up an online press kit with photos. Lots of details are here (no affil.) How to Create an Electronic Press Kit | eHow.com

    2) Start finding bloggers and local columnists in your niche using Google. Email them, sending a link to your press kit, latest press release / news and ask about JV opportunities - -exchanging links, content for your blogs (set one of these up now, too, for your project).

    3) Set up a media calendar and start penciling (keying) in monthly goals for focusing on PR and word-of-mouth strategies. Get ideas off a free Word doc download I have here:

"Free Marketing PR Blueprint Download Based Upon New Rules of Marketing & PR by David Meerman Scott"

Have fun! Sounds like a neat project.
