Want MUCH Higher Article Marketing Conversions?

Many of you know me from my popular article marketing ebook, which I won't mention because I'm not trying to plug it, but I've been profiting greatly from article marketing for nearly 6 years now.

Here is a very simple, overlooked problem that MOST people make!

They don't put any, or enough, thought into the signature of their articles!!!

If you're not getting a 15% (bare minimum) CTR (clicks on sig link compared to article views) on your articles then you need to rethink your sig!

It's very simple to do! To the reader the signature should be PART OF THE ARTICLE! Sure, when you submit the article it's in a separate section, but most article directories including EzineArticles add it directly to the end of the article.

So leverage that! The end of your article should flow right into the signature like the article hasn't ended yet.

75% of all articles I read in article directories contain a signature that is obviously a promotion area. You don't want the reader to think of it as an "about the author" area or a promotion area. You want the reader to not even notice it... you want them to read it because they're finishing the article.

I have been trying that but it always comes out a little contirved to my taste. I try to view it from the reader's perspective and all of mine seem a little cheesy. I guess I will just keep trying. Maybe I am too critical of myself.

Would anyone have a good "sample" article that does this? It might help me to see actual good examples. Thanks....

I'd say you are too critical of yourself. Forget what you think your readers will think. Try it and track your results. Don't make up their mind for them. Let them vote with their mouse.

Excellent advice as always Josh.. but I actually had EzineArticles kick back articles several times where the signature was not a very obvious signature. Though they are one of the best directories they are one of the most frustrating.

        Thanks again!

hmm I've been doing it for years and never had a single one rejected for that reason. You may want to ask for details as to exactly why it was denied along with reasoning.

Josh is a great article marketer, but also might be one of the best email marketers in our industry. I have learned a lot about building relationship through emails only by following his subscription.

Today I got an email from him promoting Matt Cutts Youtube channel.. Because it has good content.. And only because of that.. You don't unsubscribes from newsletters like that.

      • Ah Josh, you've covered an important lesson for free on Article Marketing.

Went to my training files/folders on my PC and referred back to your ebook, "Article Marketing Domination" and re-read the whole book after reading this post. Its all there - tips on signature, examples and what not..

        Cheers for the reminder!!
