Force Amazon.com and Channel 11 News at 7 To Do Product Research For You!
Amazon.com and similar sites do product research for you during certain times of the year. So does the 7:00 News you watch on TV.
During holiday seasons Amazon.com sends out promos via email on the hottest toys, books, dvd's, etc. If any of those fall into a niche you are using then you could tweak your content or advertising to match those trends. Imagine how high adsense CTR would be on those same items.
The news channels do the same product research work for you as well. During the xmas season you will see all of these reports on the latest in demand gadgets or toys. You will see reports of "so and so widget is in low supply, and Walmart is worried if it will have enough, etc."
Just imagine what creating a squidoo lens or hubpage with that widgets name in the title might do for adsense revenue... but that doesn't even touch the surface.
Think long term on this trend marketing strategy.
Create a free report on any of the following:
"Extending Battery Life In Your Childs Toys"
"Strategies for the Last Minute Procrastinating Shopper"
"Stress Management for the Holiday Season"
"In-Laws? Or Get the Hell Out-Laws?"
Those are just a few trend marketing reports that could build you an email list in very specific niches. You could then spend all year marketing products similar to the list they got placed on during the holidays. It could be anything from Widget Repair to Paying off Debt After Xmas.
There is no limit to what you can do with this strategy. You could come up with some off the wall topics that could be lead generators for other niches like depression, social anxiety, debt management, credit repair, weight loss, sugar free deserts, stress management, etc.
Using that very specific lead generation strategy it would help you determine exactly what your leads want by combining your segregated lists with Google Analytics. Then you will have an idea of what they are clicking on, and what search phrase is being used to get to your site.
In addition to that you could go a step further and use Click Tale to see exactly what ads they are clicking on, what part of your site they are reading, etc. The more qualified your leads are, the better your products will convert.
And the best part is, you don't have spend hours working on this. You could probably spend about $100 and get the entire process outsourced.
