The IM Dictionary: Terms Of Importance

Hello Warriors,

I noticed that many beginners may struggle to find out what common IM terms are, including but not limited to, PPC, PPV, SEO, CPA, CTR, etc.

I was trying to teach my 16-year-old brother IM, but he was thoroughly confused with the amount of terms used that he went back to his games.

And then it dawned on me that many beginners probably do not know what these terms are or what they meant. This situation seriously affects the morale of beginners, as they can't understand the concepts behind a particular business model.

Thus, the objective of this thread is to collect as many IM terms as possible and give these terms a short description. This thread will serve to clear the fog and shed some light on common terms that should be understood.

Please add more if you can and please let me know if I missed anything. Also, please help me simplify the description of these terms. Thanks.

Great thread idea! As a newbie I will admit that when I started the first thing I did was compile a list of my own like this to refer to while reading threads here on WF. I wanted to often ask for clarification but didn't want to get jumped on by the vets.

    Thanks for this!

Yeah. It ticked me off when my brother gave up because he didn't know what a "list" is.
