Learn their "marketing" & "strategies". There's a lot of factors need to consider the well plan graphics, the annotation, the impact & Powerful words and most important the impactful sequence to deliver. There are many ways of skinning a cat, goes the saying. The same applies to videos. It all boils down to the intention as you have indicated in your various questions. Quality of the video is very important and how it portrays the intended message effectively to the targeted audience.

If you want to generate backlinks, the key is to give your video a descriptive title and good description on what the video is about and good relevant keywords as tags. This gives the search engines an idea of what the video is about. But uploading it to Youtube will get you a no follow backlink though the video resides on a powerful domain. The video also stands a good chance of ranking on the search results pages thus bringing new traffic to your site.

If the intention is to create a video that resides on a squeeze page to collect an email address to build a list or encourage visitors to take action on a CPA offer, then the purpose is served.
