Whic is Better a ready made site or one you build from scratch?

Over the past year i have bought a few domains and built a few sites from scratch.

I have also bought a few websites that just looked too good to pass up.

My question is do you think it is better to build a site from the ground up or do you think it is better to buy a website already built?

One benefit right from the start of buying one is saving tons of time starting a site from scratch.

What do you guys think?

Another good point about buying a website is you already have domain age started as opposed to building from scratch.

If you can afford to buy one that looks decent then I personally would go for because of the domain age and many people are technically inclined to go through all the steps of building one from scratch.

I suppose you go with your budget.

Right good point Kim, domain age is something to take into consideration that can benefit your site from the start as far as SEO purposes.

Hi Shannon,...in my opinion it is a combination of both that works best...what I mean is: if you buy a pre-build website you can then see how it is done and with that you will be able to edit, alter and change the content, put your own photo's on and so on.
With Coffee cup editor this process is made easy...I have done the above multiple times and it will "teach" you over time how to build your own website from scratch if you would like to do that...all I can say is,...experiment and learn while you are doing.
    Hope this is helpful.

Domain age is important also the domain name for the keyword. Also how the design of the template is and how you can change the template to fit your needs

A pre-made domain can cost you as low as $50 or less.... It is very easy to make that money back.....
Yes i agree, i think you can save a lot of time by having someone else do the work for you so you can concentrate on other things but from an SEO standpoint is there a difference?
