HELP! Still Confused About How to Cater to My Email List
As someone who just started creating a list, I'm still a bit confused about how to properly follow up with them. What I DO understand is that I should follow up with them a few days after they sign up telling them that they hope they got value out of my free report and asking them to send any feedback suggestions. I also understand emailing them automatically once a week with a tidbit of info to build trust.
Here's what I'm confused about:
1) My site is a review site of an affiliate product. Before my squeeze page was up, visitors were able to directly access it, now they can't because of the squeeze page. That being said, people had told me to wait a while before trying to sell my list anything, so does this mean that I don't immediately direct them to my review site after they opt-in but wait awhile before suggesting that my subscribers visit my review site which has the product I'm promoting to solve whatever which problem? When do I send them to my actual review site?
2) When I do actually tell my subscribers to check out the affiliate product, is better to give them a DIRECT affiliate link to the actual product or do I send them to my review site?
3) When you sign off and you include the url to your website, do I use the www.mydomain.com (which is the squeeze page) or do I use the www.mydomain.com/main.html (the review page of the product).
4) Are your newsletters simply supposed to read like articles you write for EZA or goarticles or are they supposed to be longer/shorter?
5) Would it be "proper" to take all my articles I've written on EZA and simply just send them to my list week after week or will that turn off my subscribers in case they might have read them on EZA or somewhere else?
Thank you VERY much....
Your help is much appreciated!
Ike
