Search engine traffic via SEO has consistently delivered the the highest amount and highest quality traffic for me.

That being said, I have focused most of my efforts on on and off-page SEO, so others may very well have different results.

media buys... traffic is just getting your link, banner, etc. on other websites, media buys allows you to do this to its fullest potential.

I'll take traffic from being on other people's download pages. Those people are already proven buyers. Get on enough of those and you'll have best traffic you can get

SEO traffic for sure. Still trying to figure out how to reach a point where I can get massive visitor traffic though. Then again it doesn't hurt to have a top ranking niche keyword web site generating a decent amount of traffic.

Give me list traffic. If you treat your list members right, they'll buy over and over from you at probably the highest rate possible.

But a close second is Bryan's idea about being on other folks' download pages. Brilliant!

SEO. I actually get some worthwhile traffic from forums too, but that's just a byproduct of the SEO work.

I'd stick to having traffic from Search Engines, traffic from people's download pages is good but it doesn't necessarily mean they are 'buyers' or if they have already bought something, the probability of them buying again some other product is pretty low.

However, when you are receiving organic targeted traffic for a 'buyer's keyword', there is a high probability that this traffic will convert.

I'd say a cross between Organic and solo ads to huge opt-in lists. Very targeted, very effective. Not very cheap usually

Because they can use every traffic source under the sun to promote for you. And 100 talented and motivated affiliates can produce 100x the results you could produce on your own.
