News - Blogger or WP

I am in a dilemma. I am unable to decide between a wordpress blog hosted on my server VS multiple blogger blogs.

On the wordpress blog, each post will have its own category for SEO purposes. So that's 30 categories a month.

In the blogger scenario, each post will have its own blog, with the blog name being the main keyword. So that will be 30 blogger blogs a month.

The blogs are monetized with adsense. The post will be a "news story of the day", so I don't care about return visitors.

    Are you talking about blogger blogs hosted on your own domains or on blogspot?

    If it's blogspot, absolutely no because by the sound of what you're trying to do, it won't be long before blogger shuts all your blogs down.

    If blogger blogs hosted on your own domains - still no. I don't know of any still existing advantage in using blogger vs wordpress hosted on your own domain.

    Wordpress will give you a tonne more flexibility, more you can do with the blogs to increase their earnings if they begin to have success - it's a no brainer in my mind.

      I meant blogger blogs hosted on blogspot. Regarding these being taken down quickly, they are meant to capitalize on the days news so I really dont care if they are taken down in a week or more.

      My main concern is SEO - which is better - wordpress blog with each post as one category or blogger blogs with each post created as a new blog

        I still vote wordpress. Blogger blogs have fallen out of favour in the SE's because of the ease in spamming with them. I mean, it's not SUCH a big issue, but I think it could affect you.

        And the other thing is that by using one site and going with a big wordpress blog, as your domain grows and gets all the new content continually, the authority of the site will naturally grow. As your domain becomes stronger, you'll increase the chances of great results in the SE's with every new post you make.

        With blogger blogs that are coming and going every day, you can't get that.

        And there are other benefits too - you could properly optimize the WP blog using SEO plugins - you could use tagging more easily - SO many reasons to use wordpress here.

    I would say using a WP blog will be better. As was said before it wouldn't be long before you blogger blogs were closed down.

    This is not a either/or situation. Do both! Blogger will give your WP some juice. But do your main work on WP, use blogger to point to your WP it will help in the search engines.
