How many articles does your writer do a day?

After much searching, I think I may have found the writer I am looking for. This is an outsourced worker from Philippines and she will be working f/t. For those of you that have f/t workers, how many articles can they do a day or do you expect from them? Is 5 reasonable, too little, too much? I don't want her to get burned out but I also want to get the best bang for my buck. Just trying to get a feel for what others have going on.

If you want 200 word articles, sure 4 or 5 might be a good number.

If you want 1,000+ word articles - 1 a day is a good number.

Do you want well researched articles that would be considered an authority in its niche, or do you want junk articles?

Do want images with those articles?

Do you want videos with those articles?

There are a lot of options here. Some of the articles I write for my site might take a whole weekend. That includes film time for the video, drive time to the video filming location, taking pictures, drive back home, editing and uploading the video, then actually writing the article.

To me, a good article includes at least 1 image, at least 1 video, and more then 1,200+ words.

I guess a lot of it depends on what you want out of your articles.

Good point. Well I'm looking at simple 500 word articles for article directories and seo web content. Hopefully people who have a f/t writer can chime in as I'd be interested to see the differences.

Is that an 8 hour day or some other amount of time?

Having written many articles for clients myself, I think the type of article you are talking about should take about 1/2 hour to an hour to write.

Of course, you can't expect your writer to sit hunched over the keyboard pounding away for 8 hours straight so 5 or 6 a day might be a good number.

And it also really depends on the quality. A writer should be able to spew out a content article that doesn't require a lot of thought in 15 minutes.
