Hi guys,

Starting my IM dream by working on my first niche/affilate site. Here is my plan, let me know if you see anything missing or can be improved upon:

Plan:
  • Find profitable niche and affiliate product on clickbank (done)
  • do keyword research using Market Samurai (trial version) and get domain name (done)
  • install/setup niche site using wordpress and appropriate plugins
  • write 10 articles
  • Add first article to niche site
  • submit same article to EZA
  • setup mailing list and autoresponder series adding affiliate product link to the end of each email
  • once article approved by EZA, submit same article to other article directories
  • create a link wheel using web 2.0 properties linking back to niche site
  • add the rest of the articles to niche site and time it in wordpress to be release every 2-3 days
  • add these articles to EZA and wait for approval then submit to other article sites
  • submit niche site to blog/rss directories
  • take content of articles and create 10 videos and submit to youtube and other video sites
  • take articles and post to document sharing sites with link back to niche site
  • research related blogs and forums and post messages to them

That's all I can think of. Does this sound like a good plan?

I will implement this plan starting the second week of September. I'm currently finishing writing the rest of my articles.

Yes, it's a good start...you can try also to put an autoblogging software...this will make you more articles...and you can put it on the Articles section of your blog..also this will increase your rankings.

And do not forget to put SEO plugins , this will help you much!

    All the best,

Thanks for the quick reply, Stefan.

I'm using the Thesis wordpress theme so it already has built in SEO in it.

You have some timing problems in there for instance I would set up the ping (rss) list before publishing anything.

i would also use those 10 articles (I'm assuming they focus on related keywords) and make permanent keyworded pages out of them in the wordpress site and write a second set for submissions.

Also wordpress is OK for SEO it's not GREAT. There are a couple of plugins that would help. Look for seo related and also a lot of them won't write a proper meta description and there is a plugin for that

In general you have the right idea.

PS I can't post links yet but here is some additional info at our site. When you arrive there is a free piece of software (popup) that will get your site indexed and build around 50-70 backlinks in about 15 minutes. If you're doing a long tail domain it's ideal for fast ranking and indexing. Also on my blog I did an article about the importance of good meta descriptions that might help if you're not familiar with the concept.

Raz, the first thing I would do is add a step between posting articles on your blog and posting them to EZA. Verify that the articles on your blog are indexed first, as you want the juice that goes with being the 'owner' of that article. Only post to EZA after you can google your article on the blog and it shows up.

Yes, very much so, I think.

There's some more off-page SEO you can do, of course (there always is!).

John makes a very good point above about getting articles indexed on your own site prior to EZA submission.

I don't believe it's actually necessary to await EZA publication before submitting elsewhere (though I do exactly that myself, from habit).

I wish you very well with it, and I think the success of the plan will depend largely on three things:-

    (i) The product/sales-page selected
(ii) The quality of the writing (and possibly the length of the articles, too, though that's arguably connected with "quality" in the broadest sense)
(iii) The quality of the keyword research

But in principle, there's no reason it shouldn't be very successful.

      Hi John,

Thanks for the heads up about getting my article on my blog indexed first before EZA. Never thought about that.

      Thanks again,
      Raz
