Mini-Site Vs Regular Site For Physical Product

I have a dilemma:confused: that I know my fellow warriors can help me with.

My goal is to sell five different but related products (book with a CD) but I want to know is it better to sell via a mini site or a regular site as each product is completed.

In other words if I have a site that has product a, product b, product c, and product d but only product a is completed I'm forced to have a coming soon or similar message when potential customers click on the unfinished products.

With a mini site that problem would be eliminated. As each product is completed I can create another mini site and eventually migrate everything over to a "regular" site once all the products are complete.

Just wondering what other warriors did in similar situations.

It is really up to you. You can start a site, and then add on different products. I have a large authority site I do this on.

Or you can do a minisite and link these sites together, or point each one to a main site.

It really depends on you and how much work you want to involve yourself in. Write it out on paper both ways. Plan before you take action and you may save yourself some steps.

Something else to consider is do you want to build one large main list, or have several lists - one for each product? I found that I could sell multiple products, and once aweber has recieved the sign up for the product purchased, also add them to a main list.

Sometimes the simpler you can keep it the better. I spun a lot of plates for a number of years and have cut back. It just got to be too much.

You can have a mini site for say product A and then upsell to products b, c, etc.

Here's what I do... Get a domain for each product and then get another domain for a blog about the market you are in.

Build a list for each of these products and then cross promote each of the other products in an autoresponder series...

Create videos for each of your products and write articles and blog posts as well....

I start with a wide marketing funnel. From there I will lead everyone from each of those products to the same course which gives much more detailed information and makes more cash etc...
