Video Marketers - Can you Answer me this:

I was reading a book about using Youtube for business purposes...and it said that when making your videos...that you should wear make up so that the you look more professional (or more like a tv actor/actress would look like).

I want to know if any of you guys do this??????

And I want to do the same thing... but I am clueless about what kind of make up the actors wear, etc. I have absolutely no clue.

Any help would be great!

    Wasted effort, good enough is good enough. Polished presentations have "sales pitch" written all over them. The best way to sell is to not sell, but present valuable information, be like your viewer. We like people who are like us. Casual all the way.

    I took Andy Jenkin's "Video Boss" course and I don't remember him mentioning anything about "makeup" and believe me he covered EVERYTHING! ;-)

      this is great advice.

      90% content. 10% soft pitch. When you do it like that, the conversion becomes natural without having to ram it down their throats

    It depends on your niche market.

    If your niche market pays attention to a person's clothes and appearance then by all means be professional.

    In some niche markets, dressing up is not considered good. For example, in the IM niche if a person dresses up many people get an idea that the person is lying (trust me I have had some people tell me this)

    What kinds of clothes you want to wear is Dependant on the niche market you are in so there's no answer to that question.

    If you create a video. just make sure you know what, you are talking about and provide good content. I never seen makeup being, a prequisite for video production.

    I know that it is not necessary...but you don't even know that the people on tv are wearing makeup...becuse when it is seen on tv they just look great... and you don't even know that they are wearing it..but they are.
