Monthly Outsourcing Expenses

by sampip 8 replies
I have been struggling recently to keep on top of my workload. I understand many top marketers outsource, however when I am looking in to this it is going to cost me a fortune.

Is anyone else finding they pay a lot on outsourcing or is it just me looking in the wrong places?

Any suggestions or a guide on how much I should be spending on outsource work on 1 blog for example per month would be a great help.

Have you ever thought about outsourcing through Fiverr.com ? While the quality of the work can be argued among warriors, I find that speaking to the seller before ordering, can give you an idea of whether they will get the job done right and how proffesional it the seller is or if they are even available for the job. (I have made orders before and the seller was like: ohh i just saw your order!)

Where are you looking that it looks like a fortune and what do you need done? How many hours do you estimate it taking? What is the skill level? I pay my programmers a ton more than one of my VA's who does random things that don't need alot of skills or if they do I can train him easily. You can find VA's that work for as little as 1 or 2 dollars per hour.

If you have never outsourced before, the best way to to do IMO is to start small and build. For example take one simple task that you can easily train someone to do and hire someone to do it. Once they are up to speed on that, find another task and train the same person or find another. Then keep building on that. Find them on odesk.com and elance.com.

Look for the SIMPLE tasks that take a lot of time. These can be outsourced, typically, for the cheapest price.....

If you have a specific example thennpost it here and you should be able to get some specific advice

You need to make sure on your budget before you decide to outsource any project.
You should consider the time, the workload most specially the money that you will spend. Outsourcing has its pros and cons (always).

Hmmm... $15/hour for a PHP programmer with AJAX/Java/JavaScript/HTML/CSS/WP skills (I suggest having a 20-hour monthly retainer arrangement = $2000 for 20 hours per month and $13.50/hour for hours exceeding 20 hours/month), $270/month for a content marketing researcher/writer (for your onsite content and online softsell content marketing campaigns), daily quota = 2500++ words, with a "bundled" account executive and managing editor, and $390/month for an SEO/SEM VA with graphics design, video development, audio voiceover recording, social bookmarking, directory submission, article to video conversion, video submission, link building, keyword research, market research, competitor research, affiliate research, phone research, blog management, theme/template customization, link building, forum posting, blog commenting, etc. (general services like email customer support and hotel bookings for yourself). That's $2660 per month. otherwise, I think you can assign a PHP programmer a 1-time $2K project so you can lower down your monthly outsourcing costs to $660 per month.

    Hope this helps.
