PayDotCom Scam Concern...

Hi,
I am a vendor at PayDotCom. I've done some good sales through this affiliate network and have billing set up with Mike and his team.

There was a period during 2007 or so when I received a lot of self-referred affiliate sales for a high ticket product, which got refund requests soon afterwards. Looks like they were people trying to scam the affiliate commission, then get a chargeback on the purchase.

I don't have seller protection on paypal.

Yesterday, I received a high ticket sale. However, the buyer did not fill out their details correctly (e.g. name, address and so on), only an email. They are seeming a little irate in email communication with me so far...

I am suspicious for whatever reason, thinking it may be a so-called "Nigerian scam" based on the name in the email.

What can I do to protect myself in this situation? I am reluctant to send the buyer the product outright. At the same time, I'd like to not lose a valuable customer on a high ticket sale if they are genuine.
