Any FREE software out there that sends the same e-mail to a whole list?

Hey, please help me.

I am looking for a free service or peice of software which would allow me write an e-mail and send it to a large list of e-mail addresses. But the e-mail addresses would have to be imported by either my hotmail contact list or by me typing each one in individually.

Thanks in advance, this is very important to me.

Depending on how big your list is, I think Constant Contact will let you do a trial mailing for free.

this is pretty easy to to do... Your webhost might provide
you with a solution, or the job can be done with a few lines
    of php code.

Also I wouldn't advise you to add people to your list without them knowing, thats called spam. You need to get them to opt-in if you want them on your list.

Don't get me wrong, i would never intentionally spam anyone.

But i have a list of e-mail address's i need to send an e-mail to. Just one e-mail. They haven't opted-in to recieve it but the information will be of great value and quality to them.

So i guess i need to spam them, once, for a good reason though.

The free autoresponder that comes with your hosting account will do that for a single mailing. But yes it can be considered spam. Be very carefull.

As others have already warned you. If they didn't optin for your information, spam should not be option. What you may precieve as value another may not.

If it's just your contact list of people you communicate on a regular basis and you just want to send out something once to your contacts instead of one at a time through hotmail, then you can use phplist.

Not quite sure what you're trying to sell/promote, maybe it's for some charitable cause or something... but I suspect that a single email won't exactly make you money considering it's the first email they'd be getting from you.

But regardless, I've reported people to the spam authorities who email me constantly without my permission (and who never took my name off the list even after requesting repeatedly to be removed). Naturally, it causes problems with their internet service provider, web host (if they have one), and so on.

    So be smart about it.

    thanks for the advice ronnie

The situation was basically just so you know. i was trying to get people to sign up to a webcam service, and by simply putting "guys add me on msn" on a chat room, i got about a thousand pervs add me, i was working my ass off for hours to try and get them to sign up but NONE, not 1, did. this annoyed me! So i wanted to send an e-mail to them all, containing a rapport, basically using scare tactics to warn them about "cam room scams" because i knew they were already aware and scared of them and this would build trust, then i would continue to say how i have checked out nearly every webcam site of the net and they are all scammers.. then i would say "but i have come acros 1 or 2 "safe""geniune""trustworthy""popular" sites... *insert affiliate link here*

But now i have found another way to do things which doesn't involve any spamming atall so its ok. I have dropped that one.

      Hi all,

Just came back with the intention to say a word of caution to Steven, about his enterprise and the spam concern and I realize that it is no longer the case. But I figured out that I can give a hint to Ronnie:

... I've reported people to the spam authorities ...
      .

Ronnie, I do not know to whom you have reported, but I can suggest you to do a nslookup (manually or using an online web service) by targeting the name servers for the domains that spammed you (manual option "set q=ns"). Once you know who is in charge for maintaining the DNS for them, fire up your favorite web browser, get the contact information for that party and submit a SPAM complaint. This is the first step and sometimes a sufficient one (depending on the TOS they've signed) in order to have the site suspended.

I hope that my post will be found useful, despite the fact that the spammers will hate me...

        Hey Sannyman,

Thanks for the tip. I've reported people to: SpamCop.net - Beware of cheap imitations

They seem to do this for you (email out to any and everyone associated with the email sent).

In order to report someone you have to forward Spam Cop the entire email. Once you do, they analyze the headers and report the complaint to the various companies involved.
