Do you have an alias for your internet business?

Hello warriors,
this is a question that has been troubling me for the past couple of weeks. I am a NOOb in IM, but learning fast. As i have learned, the real money is in the list.

With that being said, I am in the planning stage of my business. I am considering using an alias for my online identity. I would love to hear PROs & CONs from experienced warriors?

One of the reasons I am thinking of an alias, is because I already have somewhat of an internet presence with my day job.

Thank you in advance for all of your input. I really appreciate it.

I know for a fact that a lot of people use aliases. If your presence in the market will be mostly in writing then it's easier to make an alias work.

I think the decision is personal as to whether or not to use an alias.

As for me, I have several aliases I operate with in the IM market:
    Mike Filsaime
    Rich Schefren
    Eben Pagan

The How To Forum is run under the alias of Michael Green. I forget
the guy's real name but he is a British member of parliament and he
seems to think it is ok.

Making a pen name for yourself is a great idea. I use a pen name in almost all the niches I go into besides Internet Marketing. I'd like to have my name on those products, but for everywhere else, it's a great idea to simply make up something that sounds like it fits the demographic of your market. (Selling to middle aged women? Make a conservative sounding female name for yourself!)
