What's the smallest site you managed to rank #1?

Have you ever managed to rank 1 page site with keyword rich domain #1 even with weak competition?

I see that a lot of guys are doing the micro niche blogs now, but most of them tend to go for 5-10 pages of content or so.
But wanted to see if someone managed to rank well a just one page site as well?

  • I managed to rank a squeeze page with a picture and click here underneath no 1. It was for one of those Google cash CPA offers and I even had Google in the domain name. Surely that wins the award for the smallest site ever.

    • I think you win! As for myself, I've ranked a one page site fairly quickly before and it still generates me about $100 a month. My page has content on it however. Yours is just a picture.. lol Thats great!

    • If you consider generic-site.com/folder1/folder2/keyword.php inner page where keyword.php has the keyword (but the main site is a lot bigger) then many times !!
  • It really depends on the niche and what is on the page. If its very specialized content, you will have an easier time ranking it.

    For example, its quite easy to rank pages in various niches as an online directory, even if its just 1 page. Something like bricklayers in Richmond etc. If the content is directly related (names, numbers etc) then its easy to rank those 1 pagers, from my experience.
  • I managed to rank a 1 page site (sales letter) for it's main keyword. It is now about 5 pages, but that's just to fill it out a bit. It'd still there at #1 too - just checked
