Will Google instant search hurt your online business?

HI Warriors,
I am kind of scared and worried right now.I feel that the traffic for my long tail keywords have fallen by over 50%.Could this be due to the new google instant search?

How will it affect your online business?I wanna know.:confused:

    If by instant search you mean that the results update as you type, perhaps. Google has changed the algo and how it deals with long tail keywords, to try to display the most relevant results.

    I actually find it annoying, as it slows down my typing of stuff as the results are changing per keyword.

    My taught exactly. I think this might reduce traffic for long tail keywords or at least very dramatically change the traffic long tail keywords get.

    I think it's too soon to tell exactly what effects Google Instant will have on a lot of things.

    One of the articles I read used the analogy of a travel site and how travelocity will now easily "outrank" something like orbitz just because of starting with "travel".

    Makes sense.

    And might possibly be another reason to buy long tail keywords.com domain names.

    I've been hearing from the SEO community that there is some sort of difference in ranking for the longer tail keywords and based upon my sites I am seeing that difference but not much of one. I will just continue to work at backlinking.

    No difference as of yet from a negative standpoing..from monitoring the search hits a good number of my sites are reporting, i've seen an uptick in long tail activity..so that's good

    I never thought about that. Google Instant Search can actually hinder ? I find that hard to believe, but it might be possible. Actually, Google Instant I heard is supposed to be a pretty good upgrade for their business model, as they strive to continually complete with other major search engines, and wonders why you feel their most recent move on upgrading their service would possibly hurt an online business. I'm new to all of this stuff...SEO, inbound links, internet and affiliate marketing, and so forth, and just reading posts to learn more about how the world wide web works...

    I haven't noticed any significant difference in traffic
    to my many sites. Perhaps it's too early to tell.
