  • In theory everything is possible.

In practice it will depend on how your theme (its menu) is coded.

There used to be some plugins (page redirect?) to this.

In WP 3.x.x you can do it easily with the new custom Menus feature.
  • In this kind of setup I would hard code it in. I have yet to see a plugin that allows you to create page menu buttons that link to something other than a WP generated page.

As Istvan says . . "In WP 3.x.x you can do it easily with the new custom Menus feature. "

      Great new feature!

    • Why?

Actually, you have to see WP 3.0 (or later) - it has that feature built-in.

  • The WP 3.0 menu support only works if you have a theme that has native support for that feature.

    Go to 'Appearance' then 'menu'

If your theme supports it, then you can do it within WP. If not, you will need a plugin that will do it, but is compatible with WP 3.0

    • Thank you! You just gave the idea for my next WP 3.0 video: how to make your theme to work with the new Menus feature

  • There is a plugin called 'page links to' simply install the plugin and then when you create a new page, scroll down and you will see a box where you enter the url of the page you want to direct to. Enter the url and publish the page. That page tab will now redirect to your landing page or whatever url you entered.

It is really simple to use.
