Some of the biggest PITFALLS

INTERNET MARKETING

Ok guys I have 3 simple question and I hoping to get some
serious feedback on.

We all have had them Pitfalls/Problems whether in email marketing
or affiliate marketing, list building, adwords and the list goes on and on.

But my question is what are the biggest PITFALLS/Problems you've
had with:

1) Niche Selection

2) Product Creation

3) Joint Venture

I would greatly appreciate any comments from you guys.

1) The competition for the long tail keywords I target. I'm stuck at somewhere below the first 200 for the long tail keyword I targeted
2) Getting started, I know I have the knowledge to make at least one product, but I can't seem to set off the time.
3) My list is so small people find it difficult to see the value of JVing with me

  Niche Selection -- Not separating the topics according to what people are spending money on. There are lots of good niches online that have an abundance of free material. You need them to be spending money on the topic.
  
  Product Creation -- Not hitting the stride between front end type products and the more expensive back end. Giving away too much in reports and not giving enough in long ebooks commanding a larger price.
  
  JV -- Have to agree with the previous post. When you are just starting out, it is hard to get the attention of anyone with a list large enough to make significant inroads into the market. Unless you have been in a coaching program and caught their eye through it, you probably don't stand a chance.

Sorry no experience for the third question ... probably because the pitfall is that people generally want to jv with people who are "known".

As to the first two my biggest problem/pitfall is that I'm often easily distracted and lack focus. I am my biggest problem! I'm working on fixing that though! I don't have any trouble finding niches or keywords I sometimes have trouble sticking with the niche I've chosen! As to product creation my first product is on as a WSO at the moment - my biggest problem ... I didn't know when to stop!
