Can't Promote Facebook Related Products on Clickbank - What?

Recently I created a product which showcases several videos on setting up landing pages on Facebook and using some of their other services to grow a list. After Clickbank reviewed my product for inclusion into the directory, they told me that my product would only be approved if I removed all the Facebook References?? I'm so confused because I see several other products on Clickbank, which are approved which clearly reference Facebook? So is there some kind of magic trick to getting around this issue? I ended up adding the product to one of Clickbank Accounts that already had previously approved products to get around the issue, but it's not ideal and I don't want to get banned later on. I always feel like Clickbank is the best place for a digital product to sell, but does anyone have any recommendation on better places to sell/promote digital products? I've already tried E-Junkie and PayDotCom with no results.

Hmm...this sounds very wierd.....Maybe you can try and delete the facebook name....hmm...I don't see why your product it's not approved.

Anyway...you can try and sell this package as a WSO...it's a good place to sell if you have a good product.

    All the best,

Sadly I tried promoting as a WSO and it didn't go well either. I personally think the product is great, but I don't think enough people saw the interior. I tried offering review copies and only got a couple too. I know my landing page needs a complete over-haul so that is probably a big part of the reason.

I was over at the digital point forums and saw alot of people talking about getting an affiliate manager. Maybe that is what I need to get more affiliates.

        That should tell you something.

It tells me the landing page "Doesn't Sell" because the product is laid out very well with step-by-step videos and it is very thorough. I gave out a few review copies and I got really amazing feedback. I had a couple Ad-swap deals lined up, but they fell through. So far I have made deals with 7 people which all bailed at the last minute. It's strange how things have gone.

You're actual product is a very small aspect of it's success.

        1. NICHE
        2. CONVERSION

In no particular order, those are the two MAJOR indicators of a products success. You need to be in an active niche and your sales page has GOT to convert. If your conversions are small then nobody will promote you. If your sales page looks crappy, nobody will promote it.

Even though your product may be great, nobody will get to know that unless you pump 80% of your effort into the sales page. Do that, and you'll have affiliates. I promise.

        Cheers,
        Matt

Try replying back to the reviewer with links to other ClickBank products that reference Facebook and ask what the difference is.

Having your product on Clickbank won't change the success that you are having. The affiliates won't flock to your product until they see that it is worth flocking to.

No matter what your platform is, you still have to promote wisely.

    Hi!

It says somewhere in their terms I think that they do not allow this and that type of products anylonger. Don't remember what or where but it does. Think it was related to web2.0 stuff... they didn't want that anylonger... Maybe I'm wrong though (allthough I rarely am... sigh... )

May I just clarify what you mean by this? Are you saying that e-junkie and PDC were also unwilling to list the product, or that you've been selling it there without success?

If (as I suspect) it's the latter, I suggest there's no reason at all to assume that you'd necessarily sell any more on Clickbank. The product (sales page) will still be on your own website, and you still have to promote it in all the same ways. It's true you may find more affiliates available there than on those other sites, but they'll only become your affiliates if you actively promote the product to them: they don't come along on their own ...

E-Junkie and PDC did not have any issue with the product at all. I just couldn't seem to get any affiliates to even checkout the product when it was over there. It seems with Clickbank at least Affiliates are checking it out and opting into my Affiliate Program updates. I already tried a WSO which showcased the Affiliate Program. I was even giving away an Apple Ipad as one of the Affiliate gifts, but even that didn't entice anyone. Not sure what to do at this point, every day that goes by, Facebook and some of the other services discussed in the product are changing day-by-day.

From my quick look at your site (unless I misunderstood and got the wrong one, or something), it looks at first glance like the only way even to find out what it is you're selling is to watch a 19-minute video?! This can't be right, surely?!

is it the product in your sig? If so, there are only 8 spots left - so what's the problem?

Yes indeed ... that's another thing you could afford to lose from the page. That kind of "scarcity claim" doubtless isn't doing you any favours at all.

The best way to start off is through WSO and then elevate that to clickbank, or whatever....you can offer your buyers to join your affiliate program and make it easy for them...

But before that make sure you SPLIT TEST your sales pages...

as impossible as it may seem you can use this forum to split test..check out this free script posted by Jack Duncan (thanks again Jack for this amazing script) http://www.warriorforum.com/war-room...re-videos.html

***Only for war room members :-)

Make sure to track EVERYTHING - test and when you get a good idea of what works test more!

Make sure to test your Thread title and the time you bump the thread,
test how many views each bump gets according to title and how many sales each one generated...etc' (as many details as you can get LOG everything)

Sure Does - If you're tired it means you didnt sleep
If no one buys it means that something on your sales page is NOT selling...it maybe the video, the headline many things...

Personally I would remove the facebook plugin from the sales page/opt in page and place it in the members area until you get more comments, then go and embed it on the sales page as social proof...

If no one is commenting - no one is buying...

The MAIN thing you should concentrate on now is selling the product. Make a new video - to the point!

        Engage...

Touch Issues people have problems with right away..."Wake Them Up"

People won't give you 20 min until they know you - but asking for 1 - 2 min of their time will give you better results...

Have a "Text Version" of your pitch under the video...

        Some people like reading...seeing images...etc'

You see...have video + text. They can listen and scroll at the same time - your job is to get them to stay as long as possible on your webpage and convert - OF COURSE

        Spot ON!

Every aspect of your pitch should have a reason...treat your visitors as humans...

Scarcity may work if you have a logical reason backing it up...the logic triggers emotion...and causes the visitor to take action..

        for example:

"Christmas Sale" - Only 200 Units Are Offered During Christmas at $47 Instead Of $117! I'm Raising the Price Back to $117 When New years Arrives or the 200 units are sold out - which ever comes first...

        Currently - 28 units left...

        Get yours NOW!

        ----

That was perhaps a bit wordy but I think you get the idea...

Be honest and keep your word.

        Just my honest opinion,
        Yoel
