Blogger-About Links and Domains

I'm wanting to make a small micro-niche site, but I'm really wanting to do it with blogger this time around, because I prefer it's ease of use to Wordpress. Not only that, but blogger gets indexed pretty fast.

Well, I'm wanting to link directly to affiliate offers from the blog. However, though I remember reading through the TOS a while back, I couldn't seem to come to a conclusion about whether or not they're ok with people creating blogs with affiliate links in them. Anyone know about this? (I know, a lot of people are probably going: "Is he really asking this?", but I just want to know for sure).

Ok, and here's my other question. I may want to just go ahead and buy a domain name for a blogger site. Is it fairly straightforward to assign a domain to the blog?

Blogger makes it easy to integrate your Amazon.com Associates account with your blog and encourage using the Google Affiliate Network, so there isn't any prohibition against including affiliate links.

What's not allowed is to have a "spam" blog.

This is what the terms say:

    Blogger: Content Policy
Spam: Spam takes several forms in Blogger, all of which can result in deletion of your account or blog. Some examples include creating blogs designed to drive traffic to your site or to move it up in search listings and posting comments on other people's blogs just to promote your site or product.
I'm sure there are posters on WF who have tested the boundaries of what is OK and what will get your blog deleted.

Thanks. Well, JJMoney1, I'm sorry to hear that about your blog. That's one reason I'm curious about buying a domain for blogger though. Does anyone know if Google can still delete it if you own the domain name? (I know they can't to anything with your actual domain name, but rather the use of there blog platform).

Ok, thanks. Yeah, I guess redirecting the domain to blogger is what I meant to say. I've done several blogs and a couple sites before, just never assigned a domain name to a blogspot site. Is that something I change in my domain hosting, and does my blogger site end up with that domain name I redirected to it? I'm still not quite up on some of this stuff. Thanks.

Yes, do this from where you bought your domain.
Your blogger site will still reside at blogspot.whatever.com but you will be using your
purchased domain in advertising-it will just redirect to the end site(blogger site).
