It's finally time to get a 1-800 # for one of my sites.

What is everyone using these days?

Looking for a good deal as well, cheap is good in my book :p

Post your recommendations below, buying one tonight.

Cheers!

I'd appreciate some input too, are there any 1-800# providers out there that charge a flat rate per month, as opposed to per minute?

I use Evoice. For $30 a month I get 1000 minutes, then pay just 3.9 cents/minute after that. The think I like most is that they transcribe all my voicemails and email to me.

but do they do a good job transcribing voicemails? I have that feature ona google voice line and the transcriptions are so incorrect that they are useless, sometimes worse than useless.

I always use kall8 for all my toll-free numbers. I compared many providers when I got started but never found anything that came close to their offer, and customer service is top grade.

    Without a doubt ringcenteral.com

They had been recommended by Dan Kennedy some time ago and I have to agree. Their price is great and they even have an iPhone app that allows you to make and receive your phone calls over 3G.

    Check em out

All the true 1-800 #'s have been used up for many years. So when you get one you will be getting a recycled # that someone else has let go. (This can cause problems...do the math )

When are looking for 1-800 #s all the different services will give you a short list of availible #s they have to play with. Different services have different #s.

Try to get a 1-800 # over the 1-866 or 1-877 #'s if you can.

(I use OPEX, fwiw. Like the service, too)

I use FreedomVoice.com. They are $9.95 for the lowest plan and you can start with a free 15 day trial. I have used others that were cheaper, but not as feature rich.

    Some features include -
    • Auto Attendant
    • Call Forwarding
    • Voicemail
    • Internet Faxing
    • Call Screening/Blocking
I think the $9.95 plan includes 100 free monthly minutes, which is plenty to start with.

I've been using them for all my businesses with no complaints.

Hope you find what you're looking for.
