The Challenge, Ed Dale

I have been following The Challenge this year. As a newby, I am surprised about how much stuff I already knew from just reading tons of info this past summer. Anyways, I'm wondering what you think of his course? Especially those who already make some money.

From what I can tell (I haven't used the course) it is just a way for someone who is unorganized to take actionable steps from day-to-day.

You shouldn't be too surprised about how much you know though. The how's of internet marketing are pretty basic. It is the selling process (actual marketing) that will define your success more.

Ed Dale seems to have vanished recently. Maybe he's taking a 30 day vacation

    Precisely.

Most people cannot even take the first step because they are so paralyzed by analyzing every little thing or can't decide if they should do this or that.

The 30DC shows them exactly what to do and when to do it. Also, they are up on the latest tools and techniques so it is quite valuable (IMHO) for anyone to follow.

If you've been around for a while you probably know most of it, but don't let that put you off because any time you can learn even 1 little tidbit that helps your business along then that's time well spent.

I always try to watch the videos when I can even though I'm not doing the challenge with a project. Already learned one new thing from it this year .... Posterous.

Thanks for the responses! Posterous I am definitely using! I agree with everyone's comments. I feel like it is going very slow too, lol. However, he is a joy to watch on video.

I'm really enjoying the Challenge. It has been the only course I’ve stuck to thus far as it really pushes you to be organized and take action...step-by-step.

I've been a little discouraged by my lack of Google ranking, but Ed says to be patient and hold out till the end.

Once you do the course in its entirety, it is easy to rinse and repeat with better niche markets if yours is failing.

The Challenge is excellent beginner material. It offers great advice and hands-on videos to explain many different aspects of internet marketing. Some of the main points from the training are

    **Keyword and Niche Selection
**Building a website with wordpress direct
**How to find and create content
**How to be a market leader in your niche
**Building backlinks with web 2.0 sites
    **Monetization of websites

This year, Ed has focused a lot on operating your business from your phone (iphone in particular). He shows you how to use different apps for marketing purposes.

I think it`s pretty good material, I haven`t actually done the challenge last year or this year, but I`ve watched many videos that I thought were interesting.
Great stuff for total newbies as well, very well presented.
